Announcing the result, the State Collection Officer for the exercise, Benjamin Okezie Kalu, said the exercise was peacefully conducted across the state. According to the results declared, Tinubu recorded massive victories in all the local government areas, while fellow aspirant Stanley Osifo secured votes in a few councils. The breakdown showed that Tinubu polled 9,215 votes in Aba North, 6,486 in Aba South, 8,471 in Arochukwu, 39,826 in Bende, and 8,902 in Ikwuano, where Stanley Osifo scored 40 votes.
