Tension in Ghana: NPP Accuses NDC of Abuse of Power, Leads Protest in Accra
Chanting solidarity songs and holding placards, the protesters marched through major streets of Accra, demanding an end to what they called intimidation tactics and misuse of state power by the government.
Party leaders who addressed the crowd vowed not to relent until democratic values, justice, and fairness are upheld. They urged international observers and civil society groups to take note of the situation, warning that continuous harassment could destabilize Ghana’s political stability.
The ruling NDC has yet to issue an official response to the protest.
