 NDLEA Officer Murdered in Ondo: Four Suspects Arrested

The Ondo State Police Command on Thursday said it had arrested four persons in connection with the killing of an officer of the state command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, simply identified as Jide.

Jide was reportedly killed by some persons suspected to be drug dealers at the Itanla area of Ondo town on Tuesday during a raid on a building where drugs were allegedly being kept by operatives of the anti-drug agency.

The police command, in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Mr Olayinka Ayanlade, said apart from the arrest of the suspects, some arms were also recovered by the men of the command.

The statement read, “The Ondo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of a significant breakthrough in connection with the tragic killing of an operative of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, who was gunned down in the line of duty, at Itanla, Ondo.
